We put up a video as well as tutorial on how you can now remotely skin the iphone remote edition application.  This function allows you to overwrite the default icons in the application with your own.  Also you can provide your skin to the community to share with others or load it locally via your own web server if you want to keep it private.

The text tutorial is located here

v1.3 has been approved and is now available via the Apple App Store.  The updates include:

  1. 'start in' at the device GUI level.  With this functionality you can now select actual installed 'devices' to start into when using a profile.  This option will allow you to start right into the GUI of the device you choose from your devices list.
    • With this new functionality + the auto start profile function you can now auto start a profile and have it automatically drill down to the devices for a category/subcategory.  By selecting a 'device' to 'start in' you can now extend that one level further and start right into a device GUI. The end result is an example such as: you only have 1 profile and you always want to start right into your cable box GUI as that is what you always want to use it for initially. Now when you open the app it will auto start everything right into the Cable Box GUI so you can just start controlling the device right away. you can always slide back out to the device list, jump to other tabs, etc. from there if you want.
  2. Macro support.  We now support macros via the Bitwise unit.  All macros are called via the 'macros' button located at the top/middel of any device GUI.  There are 2 stages to the macro support.
    1. Stage 1: Setup the macro in the Bitwise Project Editor.  This windows application software is normally a seperate purchase/cost from the Bitwise unit however if you purchase the Bitwise hardware through Total Control it will be available for free.  Please contact directly for more information regarding this program.
    2. Stage 2: Setup the macro in the Total Control application.  This is a very simple setup consiting of a descriptive name for your macro + the macro # from the Bitwise Project Editor that you uploaded to the Bitwise Unit.
  3. Punch Through - Punch To Support.  You can now map buttons from one device to the same buttons on another existing device.  i.e. You have a Cable Box GUI that you like to use however you want to control your tv or a/v receiver volume when using the volume button on the Cable Box GUI.  you can now override the Cable Box GUI with an existing device's same button (in this case the tv or a/v receiver volume buttons).  This way you no longer have to slide between devices to similar controls.
  4. Volume Button Change.  Volume button was changed from continuous IR to:
    1. Single click = single volume IR command
    2. Long press on volume button = continuous IR until button is released

1. fixed bug in learning feature.

2. added support for auto profile start.  you can now automatically start any single profile without having to click to enter it.  this function coupled with the 'start at' function can allow the application to start directly into a device listing section of the application.

you can select the profile to autostart in the 'admin' section of the application.  towards the bottom you will find 'Profile List'.  Click 'Start with:' (pic 1) to slide into the available profile or choose none to turn off (pic 2).  Once you have chosen which profile or none click the red 'Update' button (pic 1) to save.

Now exit the application and start it again to run it with the profile autostart function applied.

To utilize the 'start at' function edit an existing Profile and at the bottom you will see the 'start at' field (pic 3).  Click the field and you will be presented with your start at choices (pic 4).  you will need to create the categories and sub categories before being able to select them here.   Select where you want that profile to auto start at and save the edited profile.

We have developed a desktop manager for the current Blackberry vidcam applications.

See here:  Desktop Manager Information Page CLICK HERE

This is a windows application which supports various functions such as:

  •  add/delete/copy video hardware and copy over to and from blackberry
  • modify existing video hardware (read from blackberry or from saved profile)
  • save/load profiles to/from blackberry

Basically this is a windows desktop application for setup and configuration of video hardware which you can then copy over to your blackberry.  It can also read a blackberry and pull all of the existing video hardware into the desktop app for uses such as changes, adding new hardware, editing existing hardware setups, etc.  You can also save multiple video hardware setups as profiles to copy over to your blackberry(s) later on.

This application is currently for sale on the Total Control Estore.  Just click the purchase link on www.totalcontrolapp.com and drill down into the Subsections for Blackberry section (o/s 4.1 or o/s 4.3 and above subsections).  You will find the application for purchase on the list (towards the bottom).

Due to many requests we have created larger versions of the vidcam application.  We have now created 32 & 64 video feed versions.

So all together we now have:

Singlecam

Multicam4, 8, 16, 32, 64

We are also still providing custom development for specific projects.

We are developing an external application for large setups and commercial setups which would benefit from setup outside of the mobile phone environment.

Initially this will be a Windows application and will have functionality such as:

  • add/delete/edit one or more companies
  • save profile list for phone with all cameras and connection information
  • copy profile to multiple phones/handheld devices
  • save profile from phone/device to computer application
  • password protect application
  • master password protect camera setup in phone
The application will be released seperately and will have a seperate cost associated with it.  Look for release in the next month or two.
