We support the SQ Blaster for infrared device control.  You can either use the built in IR database which has tens of thousands of IR codes or learn the IR code from a physical remote.

What:

Added the ability to import and export camera setup information on Android Vidcam Edition.

Why:

Examples uses might be:

• keep a backup of your setup in case your phone is replaced and you install the app fresh.  Just import the file into the app and all of your cameras will be setup again automatically.
• you have 2 or more android devices and want to copy the setup from 1 to the other easily.  just export from the first device and import into the other.
•  you are an integrator and need to keep backup setup files for your customers in case they need the app setup again.  have the customer up and running again in less than a minute with their full setup.
• you have a very large setup (say for instance five 16 channel dvr = 80 cameras).  you can setup quickly via file and just import into the android device without having to go through GUI.

•  Android Vidcam: Export - Import Cameras Function
• File: The import/export file is called TotalControl.tvb.  It can be opened, edited, etc. in any file editor like notepad.exe for instance.
• Import
• http:// link to file.  host the file on a webserver and point to it in the app.  Good example place might be dropbox.com in the Public Folder.  Just upload to there, copy the public link, and use it in the app to download setup.
• Export
• You can export the setup either locally or to remote communication options.  Some examples are:
• Local: SD Card.  Will save TotalControl.tvb to folder called TotalControl on SD Card.
• Email: will attach file to email
• Registered 3rd party export application: Some 3rd party applications register themselves as general export options.  A good example of this is dropbox.  If you have dropbox app installed on the android device it will automatically post to your dropbox account if you choose this option.

Put up a video showing how y0u can watch live video from any android device running "Ip Webcam" from developer "PAS" directly in Total Control.  So if you have an android device running this app you can view the live video in any of our Total Control Vidcam apps for Android, Blackberry, Ipad, Iphone, Itouch, and Windows Mobile.

What: Custom URL Scheme

The ability to launch the vidcam application for iphone itouch ipad via a web address directly in the web browser or 3rd party solution.

For instance you have a Crestron setup and want to open Total Control from the Crestron app.  You can input a button with a http call to totalcontrol:// and it will open the app automatically on the ipad itouch iphone.

Another example is just using the Safari browser.  Just input the address totalcontrol:// and it will open the application automatically.

Prerequisite: v.18

How To Use:

totalcontrol:// used as web address either in web browser address bar or via http call in 3rd party software.

We posted a video of the Total Control Android Vidcam Multichannel View Options on our Youtube Channel.

 The options are:

• Default Cameras:
• This option allows you to choose how many cameras will show on the screen by default when you enter the multichannel view.
• Options are: 2,4,6,8,16,32 cameras
  
• Show Group: 
• This option allows you  to choose which cameras will show by default when you enter the multichannel view.  Options are:
• First Cameras: this will show the first camera group in the camera list starting with camera 1 always.
• Last Cameras: this will show the last group of cameras you exited the app from previously when you enter the multichannel view.  great for picking up where you left off.

We have added a preview demo video of our upcoming multichannel view support on iphone vidcam edition.  Basically this functionality will allow you to view multiple live video streams on 1 page at the same time.

It is pretty much the same functionality we introduced on our Android Vidcam Edition version a couple of months back. we are in final testing and should be submitting to Apple soon.

For the iphone/ipad/itouch implementation it will have the following functionality:

• view multiple live video channels on 1 screen at the same time
  
• choose from how many cameras to see on 1 page at a time (1,2,4,6,8,16, or 32 cameras)
  
• quick cycle button to go through different views or long press to get a pop up selection option of how many to show on a screen
  
• ability to start the app right into a specific multichannel view
  
• ability to start multichannel view on first group of cameras all of the time or the last group you exited the app on
  
• ability to choose how many cameras to start the multichannel view with every time

for the iphone you will typically enjoy 2,4,6, or 8 channel view options. for ipad 16 & 32 come into play although all camera view options are available on both types.
if you want to go into full single view on a particular camera just touch that camera on the screen while in multichannel view.
