Remote Edition: Relays Tutorial
You can control the state of the relays on the hardware unit via Remote Edtion.  The application allows for direct control as well as a timer based control once a direct control is initiated.  In other words you can click a relay to change the state and have a timer automatically change the state back again.

Prerequisites: v1.4

Relays Tutorial

  1. Relay setup and control can be found under the 'Devices' tab of the application.  It will show as the first option in the list.  Click the option to slide into the next page.
  2. On the main Relay page click the + button on the top right of page to add a new relay.
  3. Provide the following information for the relay and click the 'Save' button when finished.
    1. Name: descriptive
    2. Number: number of the relay to be controlled.  i.e. 1,2, etc.
    3. Box: Click this option to select hardware unit(s) which have already been setup on the Boxes tab.
  4. You should now see the basic configured relay on the main relay page.  Click to slide to controls page for direct control and timer setup option.
  5. The application will automatically attempt to get the current relay state and adjust the on/off button accordingly.
  6. Once the relay state is found and updated or the unit times out with no response you will be presented with the main control screen for that relay.  From here you can:
    1. Directly control the relay via the on/off button.
    2. Click the 'Get Relay State' button to query the hardware for the relay state and update the application on/off button.
    3. Add an AutoTimer: Click the + button on top right to create an AutoSwitch timer.
  7. On the AutoSwitch timer page you can setup the name for this AutoSwitch function as well as the amount in milliseconds for which the application should automatically switch a relay back after starting the control.  Click the 'Save' button on top right when finished.
  8. You will now be back at the main control screen for that relay however now you will have the AutoSwitch function you setup as an option below the direct controls for that relay.  If you select the AutoSwitch function you setup then the application will automatically switch the relay and begin the count down to switch back.  Once the timer expires the application will automatically switch the relay back to it's original state.
