Remote Edition: Categories & SubcategoriesThis tutorial explains the concept of Categories & Subcategories in the application. Each Profile in the application can have one or more Categories & Subcategories. Overall the design is to allow for personalized setups of individual profiles. The easiest way to explain this concept is with an example. In this example we have 3 Profiles setup in the application.
Rob's Subcategories for 'Home' Category:
So at this point we have a Profile 'Rob' with a Category 'Home' and he may have several 'Rooms' in his home with different products to control in each. By setting up Subcategories under the main Category 'Home' Rob can now personalize his setups by Room. Now the last point from here is to drill down into a Subcategory. This will take you to the actual 'User Devices' list for that Subcategory. This is the section where you will actually add the device(s) to be controlled for that Profile, Category, & Subcategory. For instructons on how to add devices into the application see the Remote Edition manual or their respective tutorials on the FAQ under Support of this website.
